Fellital, Uri.

Im Fellital fand ich meine ersten Gwindel. Zwischen grossen Granitblöcken zeigte sich ein offener Kluftspalt. Die ersten Rauchquarzstufen und Gwindel lagen lose im Schutt. Mit der Zeit drohte die Kluft einzustürzen, wir stellten deshalb den Betrieg ein.

In the Felli valley I found my first Gwindels. Between large granite blocks an open cleft was found. The first smoky quartz specimens and gwindels lay loose in the gravel. With time, the fissure threatened to collapse, so we stopped the operation.

Furkagebiet, Wallis.

Unterwegs mit meinem Freund Thomas Krauer. Am Furkahorn entdeckt er eine Kluft mit schönen Rauchquarzspitzen und Stufen. In der Folge arbeiten wir noch weitere Tage an dieser Fundstelle.

Muttgletscher, Furkagebiet, Wallis.

Am Gletscherrand lässt sich eine Kluft mit Rauchquarz öffnen. Ein paar Stücke stehen auch heute noch in unseren Sammlungen.

At the edge of the glacier a crevice with smoky quartz can be opened. A few pieces are still in our collections today.

Medelsgebiet, Lukmanier, Graubünden.

Ein toller Fund glückte mir beim Medelsgletscher im Lukmaniergebiet. Im Cristallinograndiorit konnte ich eine grössere Kluft mit Rauchquarz und Adular entdecken. Die Rauchquarze sind zum Teil als Doppelender ausgebildet und auf dem Muttergestein aufgewachsen.

I made a great find at the Medels glacier in the Lukmanier area. In the cristallinograndiorite I could discover a larger cleft with smoky quartz and adular. The smoky quartz crystals are partly formed as double enders and grew on the bedrock.

Leventina, Tessin.

Erfolgreiche Stahlerwoche mit Heinz Wahrenberger und Edi Ganz in der Leventina. Wir haben grosse Rauchquarz- und Bergkristallspitzen im Tessiner Habitus gefunden.

Successful week with Heinz Wahrenberger and Edi Ganz in the Leventina. We found large smoky quartz and rock crystal points in the Tessin habit.
